24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor
The Fujifilm XE3 features Fuji's top spec 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor, a nice bump-up from the 16MP found on the previous X-E2. The sensor features a unique random colour filter and no optical low pass filter to provide sharp images with ample cropping and composition adjustments after shooting, while the unique random colour filter reduces moire and false colours. This sensor also features an outstanding read speed, high-speed continuous shooting, high-precision AF tracking, lightning-fast live-view refresh rate and superb video recording.
Internal 4K recording
The X-E3 can record 4K videos internally for up to 10 minutes. 4K features recording at frame rates of 30P, 25P, or 24P all at a high bit rate of up to 100Mbps. Full HD can also be recorded at either 60P, 50P, or 24P with a high bit rate of up to 100Mbps. Exposure settings such as aperture, shutter speed and exposure compensation can be changed while recording video. The camera also features a 2.5mm stereo microphone jack for higher quality audio recording.
Uncompressed HDMI output
Video of the Fuji X-E3 can be output via HDMI, allowing you to check footage on an external monitor, or record uncompressed video onto an external recorder.
Film Simulation on video recording
Film Simulation modes are available during video recording. Movie shooters can enjoy extra creativity, without the need for lengthy post-production, including monochrome video in ACROS and documentary-themed tones in CLASSIC CHROME.
Light sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200
A wide light sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200 gives the Fujifilm X-E3 the flexibility to shoot in almost any lighting condition while the powerful X Processor Pro processing engine greatly reduces noise.
Powerful X Processor Pro image engine
Thanks to a powerful image processing engine, the X-Processor Pro, processing speeds are now approximately four times faster than a conventional model. This maximizes the capabilities of the sensor to ensure it delivers the highest image quality with super-fast response times. In addition, thanks to the high-speed reading technology of the sensor, blackout time after release has also been reduced by approximately half, buffer memory has been increased, start-up time is now just 0.4seconds, shutter time lag is shorter ,and compressed RAW is supported, improving the ease-of-handling of RAW data.
14 bit RAW image capture
The Fuji XE3 features 14 bit RAW image capture in lossless compressed and uncompressed modes. By capturing RAW files in 14-bit, users will be able to further push post processing for even more accurate colours, wider dynamic range and improve noise reduction.
Fast and accurate focusing system with touch focus control
The advancements in the new sensor and processor brings the focusing time down to a minimum of 0.06 seconds and brings a total 325 focus points that uses both phase- and contrast-detection methods. Auto focusing can also be done by touching a subject on the rear 3" inch lcd touch screen, enabling rapid focus area changes.
High-resolution 2.36M-dot viewfinder with a 0.62x magnification ratio
The Fujifilm X E3 mirrorless camera features a large 2.36M-dot organic EL electronic viewfinder with a magnification ratio of 0.62x. The EVF uses four dedicated lens elements for a clear, high resolution image showing 100% of the image area that can be viewed even in bright outdoor conditions. The electronic viewfinder has a smooth display thanks to a frame rate of 54.54fps and a time-lag of 0.005sec. It also shows the effects of Film Simulation and exposure settings in real time, so you can take photos knowing exactly how the image will turn out. This capability to reflect settings can be turned on and off; when turned off, the view replicates natural tones exactly as if viewed by the naked eye.
Up to 14fps continuous shooting
Continuous burst shooting sees a nice increase in performance over the Fuji X-E2, now with up to 8fps when using the mechanical shutter or 14fps when using the electronic shutter. The viewfinder blackout time is now less than half that of the previous model. This means that you can track a fast-moving subject more easily for an extended period of time during continuous shooting. The combination of advanced continuous shooting options and EVF performance deliver continuous AF-C shooting never previously thought possible with mirrorless cameras.
ACROS Film Simulation
The Fujifilm X-E3 features the a ACROS Film Simulation mode. Its features include smoother gradation, deep blacks and beautiful textures. Ultra high-quality monochrome images are possible, adding extra creativity to the general monochrome mode.
3-inch touch LCD monitor
The Fuji X-E3 features a 3.0-inch 1.04M-dot TFT Touch LCD monitor with an aspect ratio of 3:2. The screen features adjustable brightness, making the display clear even in bright outdoor conditions. All shooting information displayed in the LCD monitor can be turned off if you want to concentrate on your subject.
While shooting, the FUJIFILM X-E3 touch screen can be used for "Touch Focus", "Focus Area Selection" and "Touch Shot". During playback, intuitive controls include swiping the screen to fast-forward video, and double-tapping it to zoom in and out.
Easy accessible controls
A range of easy accessible dials makes swift mode and exposure settings changes possible.
Compact and lightweight body
The Fujifilm X-E3 camera body with battery and memory card weighs just 337g and is only 32.4mm in depth. The compact size and light weight makes it possible to carry the body with lens and accessories with ease.
Exposure Compensation Dial with the C position
The frequently-used exposure compensation function can be operated using the top-plate dial for adjustments in 1/3 increments up to ±3EV. Select the C position for exposure compensation of up to ±5EV using the camera's Command Dial.
Shoe-mount flash with commander mode
The X-E3 includes a powerful little shoe-mount flash to help illuminate dark subjects. The flash also features a commander mode to act as a trigger for select Fujifilm speedlights/flashguns
