The ME200S-SH Multi-Purpose camera delivers the high quality video and versatility needed for a wide range of professional video production applications. The camera's modular design allows you to connect only the components you need, depending on how you want to use the camera- making it easy to incorporate into a variety of camera systems. An HDMI terminal allows for connection to compatible third party external displays, and 3G/HD-SDI terminals allow for connection to compatible third party external displays and recording devices. The camera is compact (4.42" W x 4.57" H x 4.49" D) and lightweight (2.43 lbs), helping to broaden the range of applications. Featuring the same Super 35mm CMOS sensor used in our Cinema EOS cameras, the ME200S-SH camera delivers an outstanding balance of image quality and sensitivity. Capable of 204,000 ISO, the camera performs extremely well in low-light conditions. The camera's Dual Pixel CMOS AF (Auto-Focus) technology works to maintain focus of moving subjects, and it's rugged construction make it able to withstand use in harsh environments. In addition, the camera can be controlled using Canon's optional RC-V100 remote control, further expanding the potential uses of the camera.

Canon ME200S-SH Video Camera features:

High quality, Full HD output

The ME200S-SH uses an 8.29Mp Super35mm CMOS sensor and can produce professional Full HD 1080p/1080i/720p output that can be recorded to an external recorder with up to 12-stops of dynamic range in Canon Log or Wide DR mode. Reduced motion blur with support for frame rates up to 50P/59.94P allows for slow-motion filming.


Great low light performance

The ME200S-SH is perfect for a wide range of broadcast applications including low-light capture and remote performance in light-critical situations thanks to a maximum equivalent ISO of 204,800. It also has the ability to capture infrared in colour, employing a retractable infrared cut filter that can be activated at the press of a button.


Advanced autofocus and image controls

The ME200S-SH features Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus, which enables continuous AF with compatible EF lenses. This sensor-based, phase-detection technology is designed to provide smooth, high-performance continuous focus. It is a unique, Canon-developed technology that helps maximise the creative options offered by fast lenses and shallow depth-of-field. Electronically controlled ND filters also allow greater control over the image, while multiple Custom Picture settings can be saved and recalled for later use.


Easy remote setup and installation

The small, compact and lightweight ME200S-SH features extensive connection options for a monitor, output to an external recorder and remote control, including HDMI out, Genlock and two 3G/HD-SDI terminals. Remote control is possible via two sockets, including a 2.5mm jack and RS-422 terminal for the Canon Remote Controller RC-V100.


Flexible configuration

Featuring an EF mount with Cinema Lock the ME200S-SH will support a wide selection of compatible EF/EF-S lenses across the Canon range, including zooms, primes and selected Canon Servo lenses** (with a 12-pin interface) for greater control and creative shooting opportunities.
