Backside-Illuminated Sensor and 64-Bit Processing
X-Trans 5 BSI Sensor
The Fuji X-H2 Mirrorless Camera is ideal to be used in a variety of applications including architectural, travel, and landscape. Featuring a backside-illuminated, APS-C-format 40MP X-Trans 5 HR sensor, increasing resolution as well as improving low-light performance. The X-Trans sensor employs a unique colour filter array that minimizes moiré as well as contributes to more natural colour rendering. Furthermore, the backside-illuminated sensor designed helps reduce noise and improve tonality and clarity, and, finally, the design greatly reduces rolling shutter and other motion distortion to better suit high-speed video and photo applications.
X-Processor
The X-Processor 5 uses 64-bit processing to realize 3x faster speeds for both video and still tasks. In terms of video, the Fujifilm X-H2 Mirrorless Camera is capable of recording at bit rates of up to 720 mb/s.
The X-Processor 5 is capable of processing images faster, making it ideal for moving subjects, shooting at up to 20 fps with a buffer of 202 consecutive uncompressed raw frames. With the mechanical shutter, shooting speeds of up to 15 fps are possible, along with the ability to shoot upwards of 1000 raw frames in a single burst.
Powerful Video Capabilities
4K 120p and 8K 30p Internal Recording
The Fujifilm XH2 Mirrorless Camera is more focused on photography, though, it does feature impressive video capabilities of 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording in 8K at 30fps and in both DCI/UHD 4K at up to 60 fps and Full HD at up to 240p. Codex is supported including H.265 and three tiers of ProRes: the high bitrate of 422HQ, the standard 422, as well as the more compressed 422 LT.
External Raw Recording
Using the full-size HDMI port, 12-bit raw video recording is possible when paired with a compatible external recorder. Both ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW recording is possible, along with the ability to work with F-Log or F-Log 2 profiles, and either format supports working in resolutions up to the open-gate 8K.
Improved Video Recording Time
X-H2 uses the same heat-dissipating structure as X-H2S and can record 8K/30P for approximately 160 minutes.*
- *When recording video at 25℃ from a cool start, with the auto power-off temperature set on High, H.265 4:2:0, a bitrate of 200Mbps, and vertical battery grip VG-XH using three batteries attached. The recording duration depends on remaining battery charge and the type and capacity of the memory card used. When the main unit heats up, filming may automatically stop.
Optional Cooling Fan
Attaching the optional cooling fan (FAN-001) to X-H2 extends video recording capabilities in high temperatures.
Improved Autofocus and Image Stabilization
Hybrid AF with Deep Learning AO
With the improved processing, autofocus is noticeably faster and more intelligent tuned. The Hybrid focusing system is now sensitive down to -7 EV and uses 425 phase-detection for working in truly low-light conditions. Furthermore, backed by deep learning the AI adaptive algorithm.
In-Body Image Stabilization
With built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization which helps to reduce the appearance of camera shake by up to 7 stops, the Fujifilm X-H2 body works in conjunction with most X Series lenses, including non-stabilized ones, and benefits from working with slower shutter speeds and when shooting in difficult lighting conditions.
New MF Assist「Focus Meter」
X-H2 features a focus meter that can be used for MF assist during movie recording to enable more precise focus adjustments. It can also be used in combination with focus peaking.
Body Design
Practical and Durable Design
The Fujifilm X-H2 Mirrorless Camera features a large OLED electronic viewfinder with a crisp 5.76m-dot resolution and 0.8x magnification. The rear 3.0" LCD has a high 1.62m-dot resolution with touch functionality for intuitive control. The screen is also a vari-angle flip screen. meaning you can flip the screen out to the side, up or down, and for protecting the screen can be closed by flipping inward for the body for protection.
For viewing shooting settings quickly and easily, you will find a 1.28" monochrome LCD screen on the camera's top plate.
Dual memory card slots include one CFexpress Type B slot and one SD UHS-II slot for file-saving flexibility. The CFexpress Type B slot should be prioritized for higher bitrate video recording and fast continuous shooting, and the SD slot is a convenient alternative for backups or less speed-critical shooting.
Connectivity
On the Fujifilm X-H2 Mirrorless Camera, you will find a full-size HDMI Type A port for external recording and monitoring. A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C for tethering, data transfer, and in-body battery charging.
Additionally 3.5mm headphone and external microphone ports for better quality audio recording. PC sync for flash sync.
The Fujifilm X-H2 Mirrorless Camera furthermore features Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi connectivity which enables you to move images wirelessly.
Film Simulation Modes
The Fuji XH2 Mirrorless Camera features film Simulation modes allowing you as a user to reproduce Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Pro Neg. Hi, Pro Neg. Standard, Eterna, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Monochrome, and Sepia look on Fujifilm film types.
