As with all Laowa lenses, this model features an incredibly tough and reliable construction that is made to last and can be used outdoors with confidence. One of the greatest features of this lens is it's small front-end, which minimizes the shadow cast on the subject by the lens and also allows shooting a subject less than 30mm off the ground. 

 

 

This lens is specially designed for a longer working distance, which varies from 45mm at 2.5x to 40mm at 5x. This minimizes the shadow cast on the subject by the lens as well as negating reflections of the camera in reflective subjects.
