PVC backdrops is the ultimate studio backdrop suitable for professionals and beginners alike. The durable PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material outperforms cotton and paper backdrops by withstanding the wear and tear of frequent photoshoots. Moreover, the material is easy to clean, with stains and dirt effortlessly removed using a damp cloth and cleaning agents. The backdrop's matte finish reduces the presence of glare and reflections, providing optimal shooting conditions. This product includes a 50mm aluminum core crossbar with 15mm drilled holes on either end for easy installation, making it an all-in-one solution for studio photography.

Tips for PVC Use and Care:

  1. Avoid pinching:

Removing pinch and fold marks from a vinyl backdrop can be a tricky task. You can use a hot gun or blow dryer to eliminate these marks. Alternatively, leave your PVC backdrop unrolled in the sun to smooth out lines and wrinkles.

  1. Be cautious of rubbery dark soles:

Shoes with dark rubbery soles can leave permanent scuff marks on your PVC backdrop. It's best to ask individuals to remove their shoes before stepping onto the backdrop. If this is not possible, have models stand on a piece of white cloth or paper. You can also place masking tape on the bottom of their shoes. If black scuff marks do appear, apply Tipex or white paint to camouflage them.

  1. The black side is shiny:

Most PVC backdrop tend to have a glossy finish, causing any light spillage to create hotspots. The black side of the PVC is particularly prone to this effect. However, PVC backdrops come with a matte finish on the white side, significantly reducing the appearance of shine and gloss.

  1. Keep it in the studio:

PVC backdrops are not the most portable backdrops due to their weight and inability to fold. When travelling with a PVC backdrop, avoid clamping it between your car's window and door frame as this may cause pinch marks that are difficult to remove. Instead, use a towel or layers of bubble wrap to protect it.

  1. Use on a flat, hard surface:

PVC backdrops should be used on flat and hard surfaces. Soft floors like carpets may cause pinch marks, particularly when people wear high-heeled shoes.

  1. The black side has visible textures:

The black side of this PVC backdrop has visible textures that may appear in your photos when using a small aperture and sharp lens.
