The Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art is a superfast fixed telephoto fullframe lens made for portrait, sport, studio and event photography. The mid telephoto 135mm focal length and maximum aperture of f/1.8 enables the lens to create extremely shallow depth of field, excellent for portrait photography where you want to put emphasis on your subject.
This lens model features a full-frame EF mount to make it compatible with Canon's full-frame and cropped sensor DSLR cameras.
F1.8 maximum aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm
The top feature of the Sigma 135mm Art is without a doubt the superfast max aperture of f/1.8. When shooting at maximum aperture the lens creates an extremely shallow depth of field, with great looking bokeh thanks to a 9-bladed aperture. The fast maximum aperture also captures more light to help with low light shooting.
FLD and SLD glass elements
The Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens features two SLD and two FLD low-dispersion glass elements are used to reduce chromatic aberrations and improve overall image quality.
Super multi-layer coating
A Super multi-layer coating on the lens greatly reduces flare, ghosting, and provides high-contrast for outstanding image quality.
Large HSM autofocus motor
A new large HSM AF motor provides 30% more torque than standard motors. This increase in torque helps to deliver better autofocus performance than previous art lenses.
